Your host is a certified diver who can guide you to some of the world's most spectacular year-round dive sites, home of the Giant Pacific Octopus, as well as Wolf eels, Harbour Seals, California, and Stellar sea lions. Explore both natural and artificial reefs: The HMCS Saskatchewan and The Cape Brenton near Nanaimo are two artificial reefs you won't want to miss. Spiny Pink Scallops, Rock Fish, and sinuous green Lingcod abound at Four Fathom Reef. Check out the wall on the west side of Snake Island and feast your eyes on the kaleidoscope of colourful sponges, nudibranchs, and anemones in fluorescent shades of pinks, oranges, and dazzling whites. Time will disappear as you explore the mysteries and splendours of this amazing undersea universe--but you'll keep your memories forever.

Diving adventures are possible year-round in the Gulf Islands'  temperate climate. The temperature of the water varies by just a few degrees between winter and summer, and during winter the water offers the greatest visibility.

A certified dive master is available at your request; please be sure to call ahead of time so we can make arrangements for you. Dive tanks and air are included. The Skookum is fully equipped with dive tank brackets for safe transportation of your diving gear. Meals and beverages are provided for you onboard The Skookum.

Our rates are $110.00 Can. + GST per diver based on a 4 diver minimum. Special rates are available for smaller or larger groups—please call ahead for details.
